Dr. Christoph Urbanek is a lawyer and founder of Urbanek Law and Urbanek Finance. Previously, he worked as a lawyer since 2008, from 2012-2020 as an equity partner in the Vienna office of DLA Piper Weiss-Tessbach and from 2021 to summer 2023 as a partner at Schindler Attorneys. He specializes in advising on all key areas of the project and financing sector. Dr. Urbanek advises in the banking and financing sector primarily on real estate transactions and financing, restructurings and investment law. His clients include national and international investors, banks, project developers, but also other companies, particularly in the real estate and renewable energy sectors.

The focus of his advisory work is on both Austrian and international transactions, the latter in German-speaking countries as well as in all Central and Eastern European countries.

In addition to his expertise in banking and financing law, Dr. Urbane also specializes in regulatory issues relating to banking and investment law.

Dr. Urbanek is also active in equity-related capital market transactions and commercial and residential real estate transactions. His practice is complemented by general real estate work and contract work.
